Sermon Writing 101
In this course, participants will learn the steps for writing a sermon in one week and will have a foundation to develop as a preacher.
During these classes, you will learn the basics of how to write a sermon:
Session 1
- Rough Read a Bible Passage
- Research (Exegete) the Bible Passage
Session 2
- Develop the Sermon Theme
- Develop the main points of the Sermon
Session 3
- Select and use illustrations
- Write an Introduction & Conclusion for the Sermon
- Write a manuscript
Session 4
- Preach Ideas & Not Words
- Develop a worship service around the scripture and sermon.
